Taping Live shows

Postby Matt on Mon Jul 26, 2004 1:13 am

More often than not, these days, we get asked by someone at a gig if it's OK to tape the show. Sometimes we don't get asked, but see folks doing it anyway! While we're more than happy for you to make your own "bootleg" of a performance we do ask that you respect the following wishes of the band regarding this matter.
Send us a copy! That's really the only condition we have, and we'd really appreciate it. Unfortunately, this condition is not always adhered to, and I know there a few good gigs floating around out there. Aside from having a copy for posterity, if the recording turns out, we'd like to be able to use the clips on the website. We're a live spontaneous band, and it's great to think that some magic moments might have been captured on tape, so we wanna hear them! Other than that, we just ask that they're not used for profit, or broadcast publicly without our permission - you know, the usual stuff. So, record all you like, as long as I get to hear it!!
Cheers.......Matt

What a refreshing attitude, Matt. Bravo! I'm looking forward to recording you on DAT ASAP. When will you be coming to the USA?

I appreciate Matt giving permissions for the shows to be taped. I've bought all his cds and still want more. If anyone knows where his shows are posted online (such as torrent sites or www.archive.org), please let us know or post them. archive.org is a great place to post shows. It allows them to be streamed or downloaded. Thanks again.

Hi Matt,

Is it OK for me to share the 1st performance of the new band from Dingwalls last year ?
The record company requested that it be removed from Dime when I originally put it up.
I'm guessing that now HT&A is out there should be no objections

Cheers
